Kickstarter and More Meets Movement Organizing
We believe that at this pivotal moment in our species' history, unless we can recruit, commit, and cleverly organize massively larger number of volunteers than we can right now, to do much bigger tasks, it will be too late to save democracy or mother nature as we know it.
This is our goal at WinWisely: create an app that puts organizing on steroids. We will be open-source, nonprofit and free to all activists. WinWisely is designed to facilitate movement organizing by integrating three novel innovations:
Crowdacting: Think ‘Kickstarter meets movement organizing.’ By giving users the option of stating how many others need to be involved in a campaign before they get involved, the app gives the user control over their level of risk. See crowdacting.org for more.
An innovative support and rewards system: Supporters unwilling or unable to canvass, call, transport, or resist (direct action) can offer support with childcare, housing, dinner invitations, professional services, etc.
Creating and fostering Peer-to-Peer Connections: The app encourages the formation of local connections to strengthen commitment and advance engagement.
We are earnestly seeking your feedback and we would love to schedule a live demo of the app via screen share to make sure what we build will meet your individual needs or the needs of your organization.
A live screen share will give us much more useful feedback, but you can also contact us to request our standalone video promo.
